Debut album from Mannequin affiliated Jass, a new producer whose individual take on the EBM/Industrial synth cannon is gaining her respect in all the right places. The eight tracks on Weightless are a perfect fit for iDEAL, the Swedish label that first appeared on our radar with that wicked Jan Svensson (Frak) album. With a firm foot in all things avant-garde and electronic, iDEAL do Jasss proud as a new home. Tough but varied, Weightless manages to expertly navigate its way through more than a few of the strains of music it takes its cue from.
