Move D and Jordan GCZ come together again for their first release since 2015 and their first new studio material in even longer. These two Urgence mixes are curious things. While both have certainly been crafted with the club in mind, their meandering structures and muted grooves mean that they will prove just as rewarding if you settle in with them at home. ‘Urgence 1’ is a deeper-than-deep deep house track that largely eschews a kick drum in favour of allowing reverb-drenched pads to create a feeling of panoramic wonder. ‘Urgence 2’ is tougher, although that is in relative terms - while the track’s thick low-end is certainly indebted to the club, the undulating keyboard lick could have been drawn from anywhere between Axel Boman and the original Twin Peaks score.
