Sharp Veins follows up 2015’s acclaimed Inbox Island with a new six-track for UNO NYC (Chino Amobi, Fatima Al Qadiri). bleeds colors and puddles deals in part in the same thick post-Eskiness of Inbox Island. ‘burnished purple’ and ‘empty’ are built from frazzled square-waves and staggering drum takes in a manner that sounds like what you’d hear if you phoned your mate when they were at a Boxed night. Elsewhere there is a new noisy bent to the producer’s sound on ‘grayer shadows’.
