Three heavy cuts from Bristol producer Hodge, further cementing his ability to craft highly danceable techno tracks that manage to channel UK bass and British soundsystem culture at the same time. Dirty late night club music is the flavour of the A side, with title track ‘Swing For The Fences’ sounding like Blawan meets Grain. ‘Aomame’ is a more subtle affair, with a wiggling synth line permeating the entire tune and driving it ever forward. It goes and goes but never feels boring, though we will admit that we are very curious to hear what it sounds like pitched way, way down.
