Gondwana issue the new double LP from Portico Quartet, a group who have been fusing modern jazz with ambient and minimalist tendencies for over a decade now. Following on from their last album (released via Ninja Tune), the group further explore the cinematic nature of their sound with a slew of tracks of epic proportions. The quartet continue to build upon their unique blend of 90s trip hop, Basinski esque ambience and classical influences. An interesting album from start to finish in our opinion, well worth a look.
