Antinote label boss Zaltan gives the LP treatment to this super limited tape from French experimentalists Radiante Pourpre. Crackling fx, dub influences and OYC/Muslimgauze-esque sampling combine with hand percussion and murmuring vocal cut-ups to sublime effect. This is one of the best we’ve heard for a while on the label, different enough to stand out yet firmly at home with Antinote’s diverse and freeform approach to curation. Eerie, discordant Brazilian folk song weaves in and out of RP’s electroacoustic soundscapes on the likes of ‘VIII’, a pairing that’ll leave you flipping the record over time and time again.
