Although having just one tape and one four track EP to her name, the Berlin based artist Pan Daijing has built up quite a repertoire among avant-garde electronic enthusiasts for her live performances. Also based in Berlin, the artist, DJ and PAN label founder Bill Kouligas has obviously admired Daijing’s work for a while now and presents her debut album just in time for the last part of the summer. A self-described ‘opera piece’, the LP avoids the brutal noise techno of her Bedouin 12” and embraces something which feels far more cathartic and personal.
