L.A. based Alpha Pup bring us the second LP from the mysterious Breathing Effect, a project with roots in instrumental hip-hop but equally deft at penning modern day jazz fusion and neosoul / r&b ballads. From the first track it’s a pretty smooth listen, satisfying harmonies and delicate drum programming merging with notably singular take on AOR / surf rock.
