Berlin-based Welshman Doc Daneeka sets the pace with the first of his Walk.Man series of 12"s dropping on Ten Thousand Yen this summer (the collection will be compiled into a cassette and digital mixtape towards the end of the year). 'Save Me' is the banger of the two, with simmering soul melodies held deep by crackling house grooves, while 'Please U' is a purring disco roller, with Nile Rodgers-esque guitar licks offset by a beefy bass.
