How To Dress Well’s long partnership with Domino offshoot Weird World bears further fruit with this collection of remixes from his 2016 LP Care. The six tracks here follow an easy pattern - one uptempo number, one dark/sombre/just plain weird number, and repeat. In the former category, we have the chirpy Afrobeats of CFCF’s offering, Porches’ square-wave house refix of ‘Made A Lifetime’, and the super soulful ‘Anxious (Nick Godmode Remix)’. Regarding the other three: Kamixlo’s flip of ‘What’s Up’ is an eardrum-serrating slice of techno-bashment; James Ferraro’s black midi-fication of ‘Anxious’ sounds like what you would expect a black midi-fied version of ‘Anxious’ to sound like; and Ben Babbit turns ‘Lost Youth/Lost You’ into a grand piece of gospel ambience.
