Originally released back in 2007, the Icelandic composer Olafur Arnald’s debut album is a collection of haunting, minimal piano compositions that bring to mind Elodie Lauten but with a slightly more romantic and classical atmosphere. Fast forward ten years and Erased Tapes are giving Eulogy for Evolution a special decade anniversary issue for those who missed this wonderfully cinematic music the first time round. Recorded when he was just a teenager, Eulogy is an impressively deep reaching album that treads the same path as Nils Frahm yet still sounds considered enough to hold its own.
