Four bits of four-to-the-floor goodness here. The title track is a real treat - working with little more than drums and a short vocal loop, Barfod spins out six minutes of propulsive almost-house that is reminiscent of when Four Tet gets the bit between his teeth and really goes after a single sample. ‘Technicolour’ is richer, bringing the tempo down a notch and letting some moody, evocative piano playing take centre stage. The two remixes of ‘Better Than I Would’ both take a similarly emotional tone - Christian Nielsen’s take is bombastic techno ala Modeselektor, while Yaeji’s version has a quietness more akin to the original.
