In the wake of the release of the fifth LP by Kim Deal’s The Breeders, All Nerve, 4AD have combed the archives and set the first four of the band’s records to wax once again. Their third album, 2002’s Title Tk, may not carry the kudos of genre-defining releases Pod and Last Splash, but it also contains what is arguably some of the band’s best work. Deal’s songwriting is more dynamic and expressive than ever here - while the ice-cool thrash of ‘Son Of Three’ and ‘Full On Idle’ are classic Breeders, she’s never sounded more quiet and considered than on ‘Off You’.
