Former member of Slum Village and younger brother of J Dilla, Illa J (aka John Yancey) takes us back to his hometown Detroit on his third solo album HOME. Made in collaboration with producer Calvin Valentine, the album steps away from expectations built by his past two records into more soulful and vocally experimental territory, taking inspiration from musical legends throughout Detroit's history.
