This is the first full Spectral release for Fin Sami Koivikko who's previously worked with Shitkatapult and Festplatten. Opener 'Paajaasa' is a real chugger that's based around a hefty arppegiated bassline and some sharp thumb piano samples. It starts off with a fairly optimistic outlook but shifts gears halfway through as some ghostly reverbs and minor tones creep in. The darkness continues on 'Dore' which has an impressive sliding synth part and 'Pientare' closes the EP with some IDM breakbeats heralding an epic techno finale.
