As one of our favourite contemporary labels, a new Antinote record is top of the must-check list here at Bleep. When we saw that this new EP was a collaborative effort between label head Zaltan, graphic designer Nico Motte and top DJ Raphael Top Secret, you can bet we were excited. Somewhat of an amateur endeavour by three teenage dreamers, 18 Rays is the band that each wishes they had been part of way back when. Sitting between the dream pop of Chromatics, the hazy shoegaze of My Bloody Valentine and the faux-orientalism of the closing track ‘North West Plaza’, this is a special one.
