Philadelphia producer Moor Mother (Camae Ayewa) joins forces with Mental Jewelry for this strange, politically charged broken beat dub EP. Consisting of six tracks which were recorded at Kawari studios, the record is a tough follow up to what was named by Rolling Stone, Pitchfork and The Wire as one of the best experimental albums of the year. Thankfully the duo deliver, and maintain a razor sharp attitude throughout the six pieces, reminding us at times of Sensational and Yeah You’s out-there collaboration at last years Counterflows festival. Must check if you like the edgier side of contemporary hip-hop and like to be kept on your toes trying to unravel complex production methods!
