Kobosil’s partnership with Ostgut Ton bears fruit once more as he drops four hard-as-nails techno tracks on the home of hard-as-nails techno tracks. Everything here makes its case between 130 and 140 bpm, and each cut sets off with the sort of booming kicks that no doubt sound monstrous through a Funktion One. As the likes of ‘Derange’ and ‘Backmask N’ career onwards they incorporate warping synths and erratic swells of sub that bring to mind an animal threatening to break out of a cage. Exhilarating stuff.
