Six years on from Helplessness Blues and we see the return of the band that had a big part to play in modern pop’s obsession with all things folksy and quaint. Rather than ripping up their own rulebook in the manner of contemporaries like Bon Iver, Fleet Foxes double-down on the rustic charm that has served them so well up until this point. The songwriting, harmonies and instrumentation remain as sturdy as ever, with songs like ‘Fool’s Errand’ sure to stir the hearts of many a festival-goer this coming summer.
