Following on from his self-released EP which contained the ridiculously weighty ‘Heist Rims’, Angus Grant shares some tracks from his archives with London based label From The Depths. With these four pieces he shows his prowess for blending thunderous drum abstractions with tight as nails sound design, moving through three mutant club jams and closing the EP off with the wintery ambience of ‘Snow Directives’. Clocking in as his fourth record in five years, Part-Time Gunslinger echoes the stylistic traits of his Hessle debut and further builds on them. One of the most interesting grime/dubstep inspired abstract dance records of the year so far!
