Highly cinematic compositions here from Peder Mannerfelt and Malcolm Pardon, accompanied by the wild saxophone manoeuvres of Per Johansson. The trio craft stark, sprawling neo-grime pieces with tension for miles, broken up occasionally by sombre ambient tracks and swamp-soaked future jazz motifs. Top stuff all round here, and a must check for anyone who has been feeling Mannerfelt’s techno records of late. ‘Potter’s Field’ and ‘Under The Arches’ act as catalysts for the dread filled ‘Inward Spiral’ whilst ‘Broken In Time’ sounds like a lost Chain Reaction dub. Really cool stuff here, and it’s no surprise two of the pieces featured on Blanck Mass curated Belgian flick The Strange Colour of Your Body’s Tears.
