Suction Records (Solvent, D’Arcangleo) present a split-12” between June and label-boss Lowfish. The pair’s styles play off each other nicely on this EP. Indeed, C.D.S.N. divides neatly into two halves which each contain one track by the featured artists. Both June’s ‘Cynthia 84’ and Lowfish’s ‘Scarborough Brutalist’ are slow numbers that forefront bright, shiny synth tones. By contrast ‘Dead Specimen’ and ‘Navigation’ are a quicker, tougher strain of electro - they’ll do well in the dance.
