The Advisory Circle, works with the other Channels on this debut album that follows ' Mind How You Go'. The album channels a kind of easy listening but with a barely hidden sense of unease, mental detachment and disquiet. The music on the album practically recreates the kind of wistful moog music you could hear on television during the 70's in a similar way to early Boards Of Canada, or at times Air, but there is a real sense of reverence to some of this music, tweaked to sound just 'off', lulling the listener in and then going off into strange passages of R.D. Laing inspired psychobabble and abstraction, before setting off on a different course.
