Vinyl issue for this high octane shoot-out films fast paced soundtrack, courtesy of Geoff Barrow (Portishead) and Ben Salisbury. Executively produced by Scorsese, the film is set in late 70s Boston and it’s a heavily orchestral affair with digital strings, organ/synth motifs and suspense in full swing. Check ‘The Phone Rings’ and ‘We Can’t All Be Nice Girls’ for the extent of variation on offer here. Whether a fan of their collaborative work on Black Mirror or just an avid soundtrack aficionado, this one is worth a look. The closing ‘Justine’s Theme’ is a beautiful flamenco inspired piece too.
