Double Six Records (George Fitzgerald, The Child of Lov) front the second album from Liverpudlian trio All We Are. Well, we say Liverpudlian, but the group actually boast members from Norway, Brazil and Ireland who all met at the city’s Institute for Performing Arts. The band’s sound is as wide-ranging as their places of origin. While pounding, DFA-style punk-funk beats underpin many of the cuts on ‘Sunny Hills’, their subsequent treatment is nicely varied. For instance, following the Wild Beasts-aping opener ‘Burn it All Out’, we are thrown a curveball by the post-punk of subsequent track ‘Human’. Production for the album was handled by Kwes who has also twiddled knobs for Solange and Kano.
