Beak> seek to continue their unlikely ascent into the upper-echelons of the alternative rock pantheon with the first single from their third full-length LP. The group helmed by Portishead studio wizard Geoff Barrow yoke their trademark brand of wiccan-kraut to a groove befitting the track’s title. ‘Sex Music’ is sultry and spooky, with not one but two wonderful bass turns from the guitar and synth dovetailing with smoky vocals and an insistent, kind-of-freaky-kind-of-sexy noise loop. There is something elemental in ‘Sex Music’s particular brand of slouch towards Bethlehem that will make it a winner with fans old and new. Win Butler - he of Arcade Fire fame - lends a hand for the remix on the B-side
