Bleep

Editions Mego present this new work from LCC (aka Ana Quiroga and Uge Pañeda), an intriguing LP made up of compositions recorded during the pairs residency at Stockholm’s famous EMS studios and sessions at the Inter Arts Centre of Malmö. Slow paced, dread filled ambient excursions and erratic rhythmic motifs (check ‘Ba’) are the order of the day here, and LCC’s end result is as cinematically inclined as it is singularly Mego. Despite not being the easiest listen, Bastet brings to mind some of the darker picks of PAN’s back catalogue and is a sure-fire winner for anyone who enjoyed those Valerio Tricoli records. Real lights off, heads down music here!
