When the famed Irish guitarist Henry McCullough passed away in 2016, his friends BP Fallon and David Holmes got together to record something as a tribute to his life and work. ‘Henry McCullough’, which appears here, is a cinematic and moving piece of electronic pop. Given that the track clearly bears the influence of Andrew Weatherall’s style, it’s fitting that Late Night Tales should have invited Weatherall to turn in a couple of remixes for this special release. Both of Weatherall’s takes edge the track towards the dancefloor while maintaining its essential humanity.
