Another soundtrack release from the cinephiles at Death Waltz here. Antoni Maiovvi (Giallo Disco, Crimes of the Future) turned in an intense score for Evrim Ersoy’s 2014 short-film Abdullah. Its combination of industrial sounds, drones, techno and Middle Eastern tonal systems is reminiscent of the excellent soundtrack for A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night. As Abdullah’s runtime was shorter than the body of work Maiovvi produced for it, this release gives you the opportunity of hearing the full set as Maiovvi intended.
