Born of the creative flurry that produced Quazarz vs. The Jealous Machines (which drops on the same day), Quazarz: Born on a Gangster Star emerged from a two-week recording session that saw the likes of Thundercat and Julian Casablancas stop by the group’s Seattle studio. Following the story begun on … vs. The Jealous Machines, the Palaceer divines the cosmic Quazarz’s adventures on our green world with all of the dynamism, panache and ice-cold style we have come to expect from SP. As well as the sort of astral experimentalism that the group have dealt in all of these years, tracks like ‘Shine A Light’ also see them come through with something approaching pop music - albeit seen through their own prism.
