Keysound (JT the Goon, Wen, E.M.M.A.) broaden their range still further with this lights-low EP from Lyeform. A label favourite for several years, the one born Ben McCarthy makes good on Keysound’s continued interest with four dusky, evocative cuts. The title track showcases Lyeform’s debt to the likes of Mount Kimbie and Burial, containing as it does a skittering synth lead atop a hazy two-step. ‘Elements’ and ‘Bright Night’ manage to both be widescreen and intimate in the way their cinematic keyboards dovetail with tender drum programming, and ‘Dead Angel’ is a tender slice of Boards of Canada-esque electronica.
