Modern Obscure Music (Pedro Vian, Munne) front their second work from Balearic producer Defled. While never straying too far from the Spanish archipelago, Defled produces a nicely array of work within those constraints. Of course there are sun-kissed island jams - ‘Cluster’ and ‘Quit’ being the most immediately danceable cuts here - but also journeys into synth soundscaping (‘Hacks’), curious triple-time rollers (‘Novas’) and 100-bpm freeform jams (‘See the Sun’). A surprisingly adventurous release.
