Ruf Kutz affiliate Glowing Palms steps out from the shadows and drops this two-tracker on Tom Blip’s imprint. Ready to ignite the dancefloor, both sides utilise hard as nails breakbeats and Wiley esque grime drums to full effect, crazy video game style synth melodies underpinning the whole thing and adding extra tension. Whatever talk of a jungle revival there might be right now, the A side ‘Kiki’ on this new 12” certainly stands out as a fresh take on the sound. ‘Asteroidz’ has a seriously tongue in cheek carnival style melody, but the tough percussion work helps carry it along.
