Bristol based soundbwoy Hodge teams up with the German multimedia artist and recent abstract techno pioneer Peder Mannerfelt for three tracks of dance floor demolition. The breakbeat heavy opener ‘All My Love’ kicks things off in fine style, bringing to mind some sort of mutant Horsepower Productions, with the UKG inspired vocal sample to boot. The true gem on this EP is ‘Bird Chant’ though, a fiercely unique post-hardcore computer rave banger that sounds like something Bernard Parmegiani might have come out with had he gotten involved in the club circuit. One of the singles of the month for sure!
