For those of you who haven’t had the pleasure of catching Bass Clef perform live, we seriously recommend you do so immediately. One of the few true mavericks operating in the UK dance music scene at the moment, the man is as capable of delivering free jazz inspired brutalist noise sets as he is making techno bangers like the A side on this new 12” for The Trilogy Tapes. Wigged out, synth-laden energetic dance cuts on both sides here. The rolling percussion on ‘Untunnel’ brings to mind old Hessle Audio or Hemlock releases, but with an edge that is uniquely Bass Clef.
