Discrepant have been one of our labels to watch for a while now, with the super under-rated Disquiet LP from last year getting multiple spins. Goncalo Cardoso, the label head and visionary behind the Visions Congo project presents two long-form compositions that blur the lines between found sound, dusty samples and electronic synth soundscapes in an effort to transport us to deepest Africa. He spent time there gathering field recordings during a 6 month stay in 2015, and Mulago Sound Studio is the impressive result of his musical contemplation ever since.
