Dream Catalogue commences a one-off chance to secure what amounts to their most sought-after release yet, the mammoth anthology DREAMBOX_1. Collecting together 10 albums and over 120 tracks, DREAMBOX_1 contains the most requested albums the label have ever been asked to publish on cassette. Among these mind-altering visions, there are key recordings from 2814's HKE & t e l e p a t h テレパシー能力者, Vincent Remember, 식료품groceries, 死夢Vanity, Pyravid, サイバー '98, チェスマスター, Kobayashi Yamato, 信仰 & DARKPYRAMID. DREAMBOX_1 precludes an incredibly strong run of albums from Dream Catalogue and an incredibly exciting forthcoming project from 2814 (watch this space!).

Having been at the forefront of the ambient electronica and vaporwave underground since 2014, HKE's Dream Catalogue has become a label that is guaranteed to break the internet with each new release announce. The attention to detail with the music and the sleeve designs offer a fascinating glimpse into the inner workings of the imprint, from alien landscapes soaked in inescapable cyberpunk blues to neon tube rolling ambient techno and rain-soaked electronica. For those looking for an entry point to this universe, the music within DREAMBOX_1 perfectly translates the different strands of the collectives sound and the offshoot experiments that are key to the DNA of the project. Listening to the ten albums in a row is akin to being directly transported to the year 2814, sat at the bar waiting for Ratz to sling you a beer while gazing at the inexplicable adverts for the label's newly formed releases from the far future, plastered all over the walls of a bar buried deep in William Gibson's Chiba City sprawl trilogy.

DREAMBOX_1 offers a riveting perspective on the label's early years in operation. Since these recordings the intervening years has seen Dream Catalogue spawn seven sub-labels, be featured in Rolling Stone magazine with 2814 labelled an artist to watch in 2016, receive praise and collaborations from the likes of Zomby, hold a must check residency on NTS radio, drop countless surprise vinyl editions that have gone on to fetch vast wedges of cash on the second-hand market and release roughly one hundred and fifty releases (on Dream Catalogue alone) to date.

Basically, if you are one of the many racking up your Discogs 'want list' with the endless and long gone cassettes or missed the Birth Of A New Day vinyl and have been kicking yourself ever since, here's your chance to own a prime artefact of the future. Needless to say, Dream Catalogue are one of the most captivating labels working within the underground today, garnering the sort of devoted fanbase that's not really seen outside of the sphere of artists such as Burial, GAS & Aphex Twin.
