Berlin based composer Sebastian Counts returns to the strange and ethereal Ghost Box label for his second outing, this time a full album of new pieces called Im Hag. Sliding somewhere into that bracket of modern day sonics that recall the best of British library music’s heyday, there are plenty of short and sweet sketches on offer here alongside full blown tracks like ‘Gummi-Marsch’. Over the course of nineteen individual compositions, Counts pulls us into his oddball parallel universe for a much needed break from our everyday, providing a fresh new addition to the hauntology archive of contemporary England.
