One of the founders and mainstays of the pioneering NON collective (Angel-Ho, Chino Amobi), Nkisi drops an EP via the new Rush Hour offshoot MW. No teething problems for the label here though - the four tracks that make up Kill are as rugged and ferocious as the title might suggest. ‘Parched Lips’ is an acid techno banger that doesn’t so much come out the speakers as leap through them, throw them to the floor and stomp on them; ‘Can You See Me’ is futuro-dancehall that bears echoes of Jlin’s Dark Energy; and the title track is a sick club cut that rattles and shakes with knitted-brow intensity.
