A Pulse Train is the mind-expanding temporary 'synth supergroup' featuring members of Caribou, Floating Points, Hot Chip, Junior Boys and Simian Mobile Disco. Joining forces and studios to conceive their take on Tactus Tempus, an obscure, 1973 "graphical" score for modular synthesizer.

Coming together last summer, each artist armed themselves with a modular synth and various other electronic appendages to delve into a serious jam session. The resulting musical map of the Tactus Tempus scire has turned in an album that across its 30-minute length recalls everything from early Nurse With Wound & the live renditions of Suzanne Ciani to the abstract expressionism of Iannis Xenakis and This Heat.

You will no doubt be familiar with each artist's work outside of A Pulse Train, yet when pooling their collective skills and sounds together the results we can guarantee, are unlike anything you will have ever heard before.
