When Jazzchamber was first released in 2016 alongside the DOep EP, Resident Advisor hit the nail on the head in their review when they said ‘Most house producers make music for dancing. SFV Acid (AKA Zane Reynolds) makes dance music for walking around.’ The Los Angeles musician’s ability to craft perfect mood music for summertime strolls is on full display here as Jazzchamber gets a re-release via BAKK. The sound of Jazzchamber recalls producers like Project Pablo, Groundislava and Gnork in its warm, old-vcr take on house, electro and electro-funk. With the right deployment each song could take pride of place in a club set, but you’ll get just as much enjoyment from the languid melodies and pattering grooves of ‘French Del Mar’ and ‘Free Way’ if you plug in your headphones.
