The Spanish musician Suso Saiz was a bit of a cult hero amongst those deeply in the know record nerds, but largely unknown outside of these impenetrable and cliquey circles. Indeed, even in his home country his music wasn’t receiving the recognition it deserved. Thanks to Dutch favourites Music From Memory and their associate John Gomez, the works of Suso Saiz were collected and sculpted into a double LP retrospective. Following on from the compilation, the label present yet another double LP from Suso, but this time with all new recordings! Rainworks also has an interesting back story, originally part of a commission for a water company based in the Canary Islands. Deep and meditative stuff!
