The omnipresent Danish artist finds a home for the first solo LP released under his real name. Dropping on Editions Mego, Loke Rahbek’s City of Women collates nine tracks which bridge extreme electronics, sparse and meditative noise excursions and deep settled atonalities. Beautiful cinematic pieces like ‘A Word a Day’ act as calming gestures to the listener amidst a storm of harsh and complex soundscapes, assuring us things will work out alright in the end. Top stuff and strongly recommended for anyone who dug the Valerio Tricoli stuff on PAN.
