Posh Isolation’s Loke Rahbek is one of the world’s most respected power electronics artists, a feat in large part due to his releases as Croatian Amor as well as his under various other monikers and in collaboration with Lust For Youth, Damien Dubrovnik et al. This remix EP sees eight collaborators turn his 2016 ‘bubblegum industrial’ LP Love Means Taking Action inside out, with the result being a surprisingly deft and delicate album. Why Be’s version of ‘Love Thirteen (Island Step)’ may contain whispers of brutal noise in the background, but the overall feel of the track veers far closer to the island of the title. Similar feelings are conjured by the Felicia Atkinson remix of ‘Ma Langue La Premiere’ and Drew MacDowell’s eight-minute rendition of ‘Love’. Only on Age Coin’s ‘Refugee (ACCA Version)’ does one sense anything other than a pleasant weightlessness.
