Echochord are back with another collection of the sort of serious, minimal techno on which they have built their empire. ‘Storet’ is sure to be a hit in the clubs of Amsterdam and Berlin, bouncing along on a single sinister chord and insistent kick drum. ‘Risset’ treads similar ground as muffled sounds and indistinct percussion push at the muddy surface. The biggest diversion comes on the middle track ‘Oliveros’, a dubby half-time cut.
