Stephen Bishop continues his mission of championing the weird and wonderful with this new six tracker from Gondwana. Lumisokea member Andrea Taeggi showcases his infatuation for skittish breakbeat patterns and crazy mutated synth motifs across Miccaotli, with tracks like ‘Tlaloc’ channelling the stark industrial tones of Cold Meat Industry or iDeal Recordings. In the title track we hear an all too familiar grime influence, like the sharpest Jon E Cash cuts mashed up with Rashad Becker or Bass Clef. Taeggi’s insane drum programming really brings the record to life, cementing his sound as firmly individual.
