Solid gold reissue of Raymond Scott's timeless classic Manhattan Research Inc. gets given a fresh vinyl press across three slabs of wax, a pivotal set of recordings that has been an inspiration and a source for samples by everyone from Gorillaz, Danny Brown, Madlib, Luke Vibert, J Dilla & Flying Lotus!!!

Manhattan Research Inc. comes in the form of a limited triple vinyl package collating the criminally overlooked composer’s early electronic works. Utilising equipment built by the MRI, Scott is perhaps best known for his Soothing Sounds For Baby LP, but the American inventor also happens to be an unsung pioneer of early synth works. Using recordings from 1956 through to 1969, Music On Vinyl deliver over two hours of experiments, jingles, soundtrack pieces and more.

Basically, if you haven't done the maths yet, this record has inspired probably 90% upwards of your record collection and if you don't own it, be prepared to be bowled over by its radiophonic charm and innovative experimentation that has inspired countless generations.
