This is African electro funk, played in a New York Jazz bar, wrapped up in a perfect pop package. Following his last EP on City Slang in 2015, Ahmed Gallab, better known as Sinkane, returns with his 5th solo album, Life and Livin it. The New York singer, songwriter and producer has taken the sounds of his African heritage; the percussion, the made-to-move groove construction and the William Onyeabor style organs & synths, and brought them into a modern pop setting.
