Archival heavyweights Superior Viaduct present the score for the 1972 crime thriller “A Man to Respect”. Composed by the highly revered Ennio Morricone, this dark and brooding collection of motifs is a far cry from his better-known spaghetti western work. It’s an interesting listening experience, one which evokes that distinct psychedelic atmosphere only the greats of the Italian library scene know so well. Flugelhorn, fuzzy wah-wah guitars and soft piano phrases are the order of the day, timpani and bass guitar weaving in and out across nine tracks.
