Young Italian composer Donato Epiro readies his second full length LP for experimental label Loopy. Field recordings, far-flung samples and FM synthesis come together to create an abstract sound world of ‘post-rave’ limbo. Modern classical is often a fairly dismissive genre bracket but to give an indication of the sort of soundscapes Epiro conjures up it does the job. For fans of Raime, Heroin in Tahiti, Blackest Ever Black etc.
